Bad Hand & new tattoos

Afternoon all,

I have been a very bad blogger i know :( Sorry.

I didnt manage to get any crafting done at all last week as I stayed at Darrens Mum and Dads in Basildon. I was hoping to go out to the shed the weekend but ended up being a bit of a hectic one, so no crafting still. Hopefully tonight.

Saturday started off bad for me, as I was woken to my hand being trodden on. Not deliberatly but still it was very painful, i woke up screaming.

This is the result of that:



The photo doesnt actually show how badly bruised the hand is for some reason. Trust me though it is black blue and purple. Not good. I went to the walk in clinic saturday and had it xrayed as the nurse took one look and said it might be fractured. Fortunatly no broken/fractured bones.

Saturday I also started my 4 week class at Sugar and Spice. This one is called off the page and it is based on mini albums. Nina our teacher is fab, you can see her blog here. There are 3 of us doing the course, Myself, Sharon and Janet. So its nice and small. I forgot to take piccies so will try and get it done tonight.

After the course I went to meet up with Darren as he was having his tattoo done, which does look very good - what you think?


I also managed to get mine done too, I am really pleased with mine, this isnt the best piccie but hey ho...lol



Then sunday I went and gt my nails done nice and pretty :), and in the afternoon we went to Darrens cousins BBQ, which was nice.

Last night we went to the dogs with Darrens family again, again had a good night. Darren won all but one race, i didnt win any :(. Next time i will follow all his bets i think...lol

Its a dogs/ducks life

Afternoon all,

How are you all coping with this heat?

Lucky for me our office has got air conditioning so it is nice and cool in here, but when i popped home lunchtime my car was like an oven, i thought i was going to melt. I think this is the only time of the year i literally cant wait to get back to work...lol

When I was home I managed to catch a few snaps of the animals in the garden.

First card with pro-markers

Evening all,

I think my mojo is back, thanks to the class i took yesterday. It def seems to have got my juices flowing. So all is good.

I decided i wanted to have a play about with my pro-markers. The girls on docrafts have got a thread that they have done to advise newbies on what inks/card/colour combos they use. I tell you it is fab, very informative.

Here is what I came up with:-

Happy Birthday Sall & Banana Frog

Morning all,

Well yesterday was a good friend from docrafts birthday, the lovely Sall. I hope you had a fab day hun.

Here is a piccie of the card i made for her:



At the top point of the card there is a mobile phone charm that i made. I stamped the same image i used for the card onto shrink plastic, coloured it with my pro-markers added a hole with my cropodile, then shrunk it down, added the cord and then added to the card, i think it gives it a extra touch.

Also yesterday i went to a class at sugar and spice. It was taken by the lovely Bev from Banana Frog. We made a lovely mini albumn and started a scrapbook page. The class was very interesting as it was mainly showing us different ways of stamping. I managed to complete my book, once i have added piccies to it i will post on here.

So thanks Bev and Marion for a fab class.

Gizmo sunbathing!

Morning all,

Well, here is some piccies of gizmo, trying to hide from the sun. Where he is so small he can manage to hide behind the plant pot.

I also managed to get a piccie of scrappy which is very rare nowdays as he is always on the go.



How much has he grown? this is the little one that i took piccies off back in november time, he is now as big as my Sheppey.

Ducks new home

Morning all,

Hope you are all well.

As you know the ducks have been living in our front room for the past few weeks as we couldnt put them outside just yet as they were too young. So monday we decided to buy them their new home, which got delivered yesterday. Yesterday afternoon mum and Darren set about getting the new house ready for the ducks.


And here it is.

It has the nesting box which we are using to put their food and water in, then the bed box, and the run. We put them in there last night they quaked for a lil while but that was it. They seem to like it. Thank god.
No more smelly ducks in front room.

My Little helper

Afternoon all,

Hope you are well, and enoying the sunshine, even though i aint as i am at work :o( stuck in a stuffy office :o(

Well as you know we got a new addition to our family saturday, i was speaking to one of my directors about him before lunch and joked around about bringing him to work. He said yeah. Not telling me twice, i shot home on lunch and brought our lil baby back to work with me.

Here he is helping me get my work done.

Some new Duckie piccies

Good Morning All,

Photoframe decorated for Darrens Birthday

For Darrens birthday I wanted to make him something special, only a token gift as he had already had his trainers from me for his birthday.
I saw blank photoframes at The Craft Barn and thought they would be perfect.
