First BIA Project

OK, about 7 months ago I NEEDED! the BIA machine, I mean if i didn't have it how was i going to survive in this magical world of crafting. It was a necessity, if i didn't have it then i couldn't carry on crafting. Well this is what I told myself and my mum when i ordered it...lol.
Well up until the weekend it sat in its box, gathering dust. I was too scared to use it as i didn't want to ruin all my lovely stash. Then Jackie very kindly gave us this link, and then Alyson very kindly made one of the projects and Suzie kindly set the challenge rolling on Docrafts. So i had to use it...lol
Here is what I came up with:-

A friend of mine is going through a bit of a bad patch health wise lately so i decided i wanted to make her a card to just generally let her know she was in my prayers.

Friendship Card - April Swap

I again joined in the friendship card swap on docrafts which i love. Its a nice way to make new friends and to have the privilege of receiving beautiful hand made cards from talented people.
This is the card which i made and sent to my partner this month:-

I used a penny black image which was kindly sent to me by one of the ladies on the forum when i was in a pickle, i used the new bling paper for the backing which i distressed the edges using a new tool i found when clearing the shed...lol
I really do hope she likes it :)

Do-crafting Friends

A few months back i was fortunate enough to meet jennix from docrafts. We had a piccie taken to remember our meeting, but i havent been able to scrap it. Until yesterday. When we was shown the papers we were going to use i knew they would be perfect for the photo of me and Jenni.
This is the outcome.
We used diecutting machines for cutting and embossing. We used paint to give a distressed look on the bazzil basics paper.

Christmas fornight Challenge 21/3/09 & 4/4/09

I managed to fall behind on the chirstmas challenge gina set us over on docrafts. So i had to get up to date again or i would have received a punishment. I know i wouldnt have liked that. I made 6 notebooks, covered them in pretty paper, added a chipboard embellishment and some fibres. I think they are pretty effective.

Glass ring

I had this ring made a few weeks back, but only received it on thursday. The glass in the middle has got my nan and grandads ashes put into it. I got it made from Ashes into Glass. We went down there and took with us nan and grandads ashes (before we scattered there ashes on christmas day 2007 mum took a couple of spoonfuls of each from their urn and put them in a pot, she never knew why though) they closed the shop and took us to where they blow the glass, they then added the ashes to glass whilst we watched. It was very personal.
They are lovely in there, and would like to thank them with all my heart for making us such special memorable gifts.

Scrapbook Page - Butlins 2009

This week on my scrapbook for beginners course the lovely Nina used a mixture of different tecniques to help us learn new ways. We tore, OMG literally tore, pretty paper to get the white core effect, we used alcohol inks to cover the photo anchors, we also used ink to ink up the edges of the paper flowers, acrylic paint to cover the acetate flower, rub ons etc. it was a fun class for me. The papers we used were pink and girly, and when i see them i knew the photo i wanted to use. The title in class was added using a rub on, but i left the title off as i wanted to add my own when i got home.
So here is the completed page, complete with photo and title. I need to add journalling under the photo, but i want to think about it a bit more.

So what do you think?
